On November 5th, 2003, Gert Hof inaugurated a concept of cultural support in Poznan, that is the first of its kind in Europe: the Stary Browar, a business -, commerce - and art-center. The profit from the commercial part of the project will be used to support contemporary Polish artists, who can work, discuss, perform, and exhibit on the Stary Browar area. With the inauguration-festivities of this old brewery the investor Grazyna Kulczyk celebrated her birthday. Therefore, Gert Hof first staged an indoor concert of Klaus Schulze in the Atrium of Stary Browar for 2000 guests. Subsequent to that, Hof directed an outdoor lightshow to the electronic sounds of Schulze. Thus he changed the newly renovated brick-building into a light-temple.
Round about 150.000 people crowded the bigger squares and the narrow streets around the brewery-terrain to enjoy the fascination of the synthesis of the arts directed by Gert Hof.
